Skiller App Download Guide: How to Install & Start Playing

Published Sep 2026 · 6 min read

If you play Free Fire or similar mobile titles and want to compete for real cash prizes, Skiller is built for exactly that. This guide walks through downloading the app, installing it safely, and setting up your account for your first tournament.

Step 1: Download the Skiller APK

Tap the Download button on the Skiller homepage. Because Skiller isn't distributed through the Play Store, you'll be downloading an APK file directly — this is normal for many tournament and skill-gaming apps in India, but it does mean a couple of extra steps compared to a Play Store install.

Before you install anything

  • Only download the APK from the official Skiller website or a link the team has shared directly with you. Third-party mirror sites sometimes bundle modified, unsafe versions of gaming APKs.
  • Check the file size and version number shown on the download page against what actually downloads — a mismatch is a red flag.
  • Keep Google Play Protect enabled; it will scan sideloaded APKs for known malware even when you're not installing from the Play Store.

Step 2: Allow installation from this source

Android blocks installing APKs from outside the Play Store by default. When you open the downloaded file, you'll see a prompt like "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source." Tap Settings, then enable Allow from this source for your browser or file manager. This permission only applies to that one app — it doesn't turn off Android's protection generally.

On most Android versions the exact path is: Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps, then select the app you downloaded from (e.g. Chrome) and toggle it on.

Step 3: Create your account

Open Skiller and sign up with your email address and a password. You'll be asked for a display name — this is what other players will see on leaderboards and in tournament lobbies, so pick something you're comfortable competing under.

Your wallet starts at ₹0. You don't need to add money to browse tournaments, check the leaderboard, or explore the app — only to join a paid tournament.

Step 4: Join your first tournament

  1. Go to the Tournaments tab and filter by your game.
  2. Check the entry fee, prize pool, and player cap before joining — these are shown on every tournament card.
  3. If it's a paid tournament, add cash to your wallet first (see our wallet and UPI guide).
  4. Tap Join. The entry fee is deducted immediately and you're registered.

Common install issues

"App not installed" error

This usually means a corrupted download. Delete the APK and download it again, ideally over Wi-Fi rather than a spotty mobile connection.

Not enough storage

Free up at least 200–300MB before installing, then try again.

Play Protect blocked the install

If Play Protect flags the app, don't override the warning unless you're confident the file came from Skiller's official source — re-download from the official link and try again rather than disabling protection entirely.

Skiller is intended for players aged 18 and over. Please play responsibly and only wager amounts you're comfortable with.
